I wanted to add some details to the backside of the shield, so I added a holding system, and a hidden dagger, useful in combat.

The hidden dagger also works fine as a standalone model, and can be attached to anything.

Shield of the Sea Serpents

Based on some concepts from Artyom Vlaskin (mainly a mix of two shield designs)
I am working as a teacher at a private school. We will soon start teaching an optional Zbrush course, so I wanted to surprise my students with a highpoly model done in Zbrush, so they understand the power of this program.
The shield highpoly was done in a day, and throughout the rest of the week I did the rest of the model (dagger, lowpoly, UVs, textures, materials.
5.8k triangles, 2k textures for the shield and 1k textures for the dagger.
